Babies are suppose to be good gifts from God, but sometimes they make the people who are given the free gift to cry and scream. Independence celebrations on October 1 was for Lagos driver, Kehinde Tijani, and his wife Grace, a day to celebrate the arrival of four babies in addition to the three they already had. Grace was delivered of a set of quadruplets at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, Idi-Araba, Lagos. Like most men have done in the past when blessed with such gift in their financial state, Tijani did not abscond, but stood by his wife. Kehinde, a driver and Grace, a small-time caterer were already living from hand to mouth before the blessing of the newborns. They now have seven children to cater for. They could barely feed the three they had. The family who presently resides in a rented one-room apartment at Ajangbandi in Okokomaiko, Lagos, expressed gratitude to God for the gift of children, but expressed sadness and fear of an uncertain future occasioned by poverty and hardship..

57 Year-Old Woman Delivers Twins After 31 Years Of Childlessness

If you have not seen or heard of a miracle, this is a typical example. A 57 year-old teacher, Mrs Anike Ajayi, on Monday gave birth to twins after 31 years of childlessness in Ekiti. She described the delivery as a `miracle’, saying she gave birth to a boy and a girl after she had stopped her menstrual circle. Since 1982, when Anike Ajay got married, she couldn't conceive. “I thank God for what He has done in my life. “Many people had mocked me over the years, but I thank God that He finally answer my prayers,” she said. The husband, Mr Olu Ajayi, 65, was very happy and said that the babies were to console him for the years of barrenness as tears of joy flow down his eyes.

Dana Air License Suspended By Federal Government Of Nigeria Again SEE REASON BELOW

What kind of an airline is this, an airline that has a record of taking more lives of Nigerian citizens. One can no longer boast of boarding any flight without the fear of crash, as a result of the fear DANA has put in everyone mind. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended the operations of Dana Air...again. The suspension was announced on Sunday night October 6th by the Coordinating General Manager for the aviation parastatals, Mr. Yakubu Dati. The NCAA said it shut Dana’s operations to enable it conduct an operational audit of the carrier and its planes. This suspension makes it the third time the NCAA would ground Dana Air over safety and other related issues since the crash of Dana flight 992 that k*lled over 150 passengers in June 2012. More measures should be taken to ensure air travelers safety.

He has fought battles on many fronts. But he has remained unbowed. Like the famous Trojan horse, he trudges on. Not only is he the only surviving Senator of the Second Republic in Rivers State, he is the first lawyer to emerge from Ogoniland, the oil-rich community in Rivers State. A former presidential aspirant and one of the founding fathers of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Nuniel was called to Bar on February 5, 1963 at the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, London, United Kingdom. On January 17, 1964, he enrolled as a Barrister-at-Law and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Born on February 5, 1930, in Beery, Khan Local Government Area of Rivers State, at 83, and in spite of his old age and blurred vision, he still goes to court, especially when his professional advice is sought for, while trying to resolve some knotty, contentious legal matters.

Among the incidents,  was an unfortunate case for the road side traders of Iyana Ipaja, Lagos State, where a reckless driver driving an Xterra Jeep 2001 Model coming out from inside Iyana Ipaja linking the Lagos Abeokuta Express road ran into unsuspecting road side traders leaving several seriously injured with goods damaged. An eye witness says “Nobody knew what went wrong with the jeep. After running into the traders, he quietly came down from the jeep and offer helping hand after he had locked up the car”.
