Chelsea Winning The Champions League Was The Worst Night Of My Football Career
Harry made his confession, when he could not hold it any longer. I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life the night I went to watch Chelsea win the 2012 Champions League final.
You all know what happened. Chelsea were outplayed by Bayern Munich — as they had been by Barcelona and by Napoli in previous rounds, but they won the trophy.
It meant Spurs hadn’t qualified for the following season’s Champions League, despite finishing fourth, two points above Chelsea in the Premier League. They took our place as holders. I was distraught. I felt like crying.
Jamie invited me over, he said Sky had a box at the game and I should go as his guest.
Ruud Gullit was there and was carrying on right in front of me like a lunatic..

Super Fan Crazy Over Drogba
The Ivory Coast and former Chelsea player Didier
Drogba was shown so much love by this young man, drogba who was part of
a Galatasaray side that beat Shrewsbury Town 3-0 in a landmark
pre-season friendly at Greenhous Meadow. The Chelsea legend
got more than he bargained for in the warm-up match when hordes of
Blues fans turned up, including a fan who ran on to the pitch to show
off his large tattoo of the Ivorian. When you are good you are good, your talent can not be hidden..

Reason why Nigeria Does Not Have a Referee In Nation And International Competitions
Long time ago, when i was still a child, that was when a big magic scoreline was played in football,i also heard about the Indian team then, that played football, when they get to the goal post the goal keeper runs away, and when he is asked, he says he say a big lion coming towards his direction. Not in this generation again, to hear of a
scoreline so huge and massive, when the game was just for 90minutes. Like in our beloved country Nigeria, this is so embarrassing and
insulting to football. Where a football match ended 79-0, the NFF should look into this game and find out what
really went wrong..

I Visualise Rooney In Chelsea Shirt ;says Cech
The Chelsea number one goalkeeper has said he always visualise the Manchester united skipper Wayne Rooney in chelsea shirts, and the goalkeeper Petr Cech admits he
would be delighted if the west London club signed Wayne Rooney from
Manchester United this summer.
Rooney,27-year-old’s future at Old Trafford
is currently uncertain after former boss Sir Alex Ferguson claimed the
striker had asked to leave the Premier League champion in the closing
stages of last season.
Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain have
been credited with an interest in Rooney but Cech is hoping the England
international moves to Stamford Bridge should he opt for a change of
scenery – but only if Jose Mourinho wants him...

Bitter Kenyans target victory over Eagles
Coach of the Harambee Stars of Kenya Adel Amrouche has strongly criticised the Nigeria Football Federation for what he called shoddy treatment of his team. The coach who spoke on arrival in Calabar, claimed that the delegation was poorly treated on their arrival in Lagos on Wednesday en-route to Cross River State.
“I respect Nigeria a lot, but the way they treated us was very wrong,” he said.
He refused to comment on Saturday’s match but just said, “Today is today and Saturday is Saturday.”
The Harambee Stars arrived in Calabar on Thursday for Saturday’s Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles slated for the UJ Esuene Stadium.
The team of 18 players and five officials that arrived at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar at 12.45 pm, appeared very aggressive as later confirmed.
The delegation led by Husseini Terry, was received at the airport by the Nigeria Football Federation Director (Technical), Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme, and other members of the federation.
But reacting to the allegations of made by the Kenyans, the NFF dismissed the complaints that they were not received on arrival at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on Wednesday, as pure fiction.
NFF’s spokesperson Ademola Olajire said, “Nigerians are known to be good hosts at any time and we have not done less for the Kenyan delegation.
“Our protocol officials were at the Lagos airport to receive them, and took them to the Silver Grandeur Hotel, which is not a substandard hotel as being claimed.”
Olajire said the Kenyans were very uncooperative concerning their trip to Nigeria, “For more than one week, we sent several mails to the Football Kenya Federation but they refused to respond to any. The NFF was forced to be relating with them through the Kenyan High Commission in Nigeria.
“Strangely, they arrived with attitude and they have carried on that way. On Thursday, we flew them to Calabar and they were received like royalty, with a performance by a cultural troupe thrown in. Yet, they still complained about almost everything, including questioning why the NFF took the match to Calabar.”
Kenya captain, Denis Oleich refused to talk to reporters, but one of the players, Isah Mohammed, who spoke with our correspondent, said the team were in Calabar to win.
“Of course we are very much aware of the Super Eagles status in African football. But this is football anything can happen. We are here to win,” he said.
The Eagles are topping group F with four points ahead of Namibia, Botswana and Kenya.
